Texas CPE Requirements for CPAs

Texas CPAs are required to complete 120 hours of CPE in each 3-year reporting period with a minimum of 20 hours each year. Non-technical courses are limited to a 50% maximum in a three year reporting period. Courses in accounting, auditing, tax, management services, attest, economics, finance, information technology, regulatory ethics, and other technical areas of benefit to licensees satisfy the technical area standard.

License Renewal Date

The license renewal date for Texas CPAs is the last day of birth month annually.

Texas Ethics CPE Requirement

A 4-hour board approved ethics course is required every two years. JN CPE offers an approved Texas Ethics course.

Are JN CPE Courses accepted by the Texas State Board?

Yes. We have entered into an agreement with the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy to meet the requirements of all continuing education rules governing formal self-study programs. Sponsor ID No. 6590
