Employment Taxes

This course covers different employment taxes including federal income tax withholding, Social Security, Medicare and federal unemployment tax. Information on internal controls related to the tax withholding, payment and reporting process will be reviewed along with the consequences of non-compliance. Information presented by the IRS on employment tax investigations and prosecuted cases is also included to illustrate the nature of tax evasion schemes and the penalties imposed for willful actions.
